Chuck Gabbert

Owner and President

Chuck founded C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction in 1978 with a focus on quality service and original design. What began as a one-man operation has grown into one of Peoria’s leading remodeling companies, complete with a downtown showroom, full-service wood shop, in-house design team, and experienced carpenters in the field.

He is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist and a Certified Green Professional through the NAHB. His work has earned multiple recognitions, including the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce Green Company of the Year and the Better Business Bureau Torch Award.

Chuck serves on the boards of the Central Illinois Landmarks Foundation and the Peoria High School Alumni Association. He has also held leadership roles with the Greater Peoria Home Builders Association, the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

In the community, Chuck volunteers with Retreat and Refresh Stroke Camp, Camp Big Sky, and Trewyn School. In addition to running the business, he continues to work as a designer and carpenter. He’s known for saying, “If you can think of it, we can do it.”

Kari Gabbert

Sales and Office Manager

Kari serves as Lead Designer and Sales Manager at C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction. She holds a degree in Organizational Communication from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and brings years of hands-on experience from growing up in the family business. Over time, she has developed a strong eye for design and a focus on craftsmanship.

Kari emphasizes clear, ongoing communication with clients throughout their projects and values the long-term relationships that often result. She is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist and Certified Green Professional through the NAHB. Her work has been recognized with the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year Award, and she was a finalist for the Better Business Bureau’s Jeff Bell Customer Service Award.

In the community, Kari serves as an East Peoria Ambassador, leads a local Girl Scout troop, and actively supports her children’s athletic activities.

Joe Gabbert

Production Manager

 Joe started working at the family business at a young age, gaining hands-on experience from an early age. He attended Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, where he played hockey and earned a degree in Construction Management. Joe now manages remodeling projects at C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction, applying both his field experience and formal education. He holds an RRP (Renovation, Repair, and Painting) certification and was named National Technician of the Year by DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen, selected from 88 franchises nationwide. Joe also serves as an Ambassador for the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce and is an avid fan and coach of his kids and their sports teams.

Becky Gabbert

Bookkeeper

Becky, Chuck’s wife, manages the company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable. She has been involved with the business since its start, contributing in various roles over the years. Her experience and support are valuable to the company’s operations.

Raymond “Ray” Gabbert

Quality Control & Official Greeter

Ray is our certified quality control specialist around the office. He also loves greeting our customers when they come in. Ray is a sweetheart, but if our customers are not comfortable, he will politely return to his room. However, he is always open to a pat on the head and a treat!

Caroline Jabson

Executive Assistant

Caroline supports Chuck in her role as Executive Assistant, bringing prior experience in sales and office operations. In 2008, she received the Jeff Bell Customer Service Award from the Better Business Bureau, recognizing her focus on customer service. She helps manage scheduling, communication, and daily administrative tasks.

JC Bedwell

RRP Compliance Officer/Warehouse Manager

JC works alongside Joe to help keep remodeling projects on track and running smoothly. As Assistant Project Manager, he also oversees the warehouse and supports daily operations in the field. JC is RRP certified and plays a key role in coordinating materials, equipment, and project logistics.

Ryan Walker

Residential CAD Designer

Ryan is part of our design team, specializing in Computer-Aided Design (CAD). He takes initial hand-drawn concepts and translates them into detailed digital renderings, helping clients visualize their remodeling projects more clearly. His work supports accurate planning and smooth project execution.

Alyssa Golez

Marketing Associate

Alyssa is a graduate of Bradley University and manages the company’s marketing efforts. As Marketing Coordinator, she oversees our social media presence and creates content to engage followers across multiple platforms. Her work helps maintain brand consistency and connect with current and future clients.
