Owner and President
Chuck founded C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction in 1978 to provide outstanding service and original, distinctive designs. Starting out as one man and his truck, Chuck has grown his business into Peoria’s finest remodeling and construction company, with a downtown showroom, complete wood shop for custom work, a design team in the office, and a team of carpenters in the field. He has made his dream come true by helping others make their remodeling dreams come to life.
He is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Certified Green Professional with NAHB, and Recipient of East Peoria Chamber of Commerce Green Company of the Year, and winner of the Better Business Bureau Torch Award. Chuck is a board member of East Peoria Chamber Board Member, BNI (Business Network International), Central Illinois Landmarks Foundation Board, Downtown Rotary, and the Alumni Board for Peoria High School. He has served as Greater Peoria Home Builders Association President, National Chairman of Builders/Remodelers Council for NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association), Roundtable facilitator for NARI.
Chuck volunteers his time to Retreat and Refresh Stroke Camp and Camp Big Sky (for disabled), and reading with kids at Trewyn School. He also teaches an OLLI class at Bradley University related to remodeling. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and pretty much any outdoor activity, and spending time with his three grandchildren.
He is also a creative designer and a darn good carpenter and he always says “IF YOU CAN THINK OF IT, WE CAN DO IT”.
Office and Showroom Manager
Caroline has been with C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction since 2005. Caroline is the Go-To Person and she can do just about anything (and she does).
She is the Office and Showroom Manager with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. She is part of the bathroom and kitchen sales team. She says, “I have always been passionate about designs and colors. It’s always a pleasure to help customers who struggle with colors and designs. It makes a huge difference when you love what you do, and after the brainstorming and hard work with customers the reward for each project is priceless.”
She was the 1st Recipient of the Better Business Bureau Jeff Bell Customer Service Award, a real honor, and also received the Office Professional Award from DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen.
Computer Design Consultant
Devon works with Owner Chuck Gabbert and the design team to develop the building designs with 2D and 3D computer modeling design software. Devon has extensive experience with multiple design softwares. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Western Illinois University. His favorite part of the construction process with the C.T. Gabbert Team is watching the 3D designs take life, going from the computer design program into the homes of satisfied customers.
Joe grew up in the company. He started as clean-up labor and chief hole digger. Joe went to school to play hockey at Weber State in Ogden, Utah and majored in Construction Management. He brings those skills to C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction while managing our remodeling projects. Joe received the National Technician of the Year from DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen (out of 88 franchises). Joe serves as an Ambassador for the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce.
Stacy takes care of all bookkeeping needs at C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction. She has been on our team for four and a half years. Stacy is also currently studying law at Illinois Community College.
