Chuck Gabbert
Owner and President
Chuck founded C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction in 1978 to provide outstanding service and original, distinctive designs. Starting out as one man and his truck, Chuck has grown his business into Peoria’s finest remodeling and construction company, with a downtown showroom, complete wood shop for custom work, a design team in the office, and a team of carpenters in the field. He has made his dream come true by helping others make their remodeling dreams come to life.
He is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Certified Green Professional with NAHB, and Recipient of East Peoria Chamber of Commerce Green Company of the Year, and winner of the Better Business Bureau Torch Award. Chuck is a board member of East Peoria Chamber Board Member, BNI (Business Network International), Central Illinois Landmarks Foundation Board, Downtown Rotary, and the Alumni Board for Peoria High School. He has served as Greater Peoria Home Builders Association President, National Chairman of Builders/Remodelers Council for NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association), Roundtable facilitator for NARI.
Chuck volunteers his time to Retreat and Refresh Stroke Camp and Camp Big Sky (for disabled), and reading with kids at Trewyn School. He also teaches an OLLI class at Bradley University related to remodeling. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and pretty much any outdoor activity, and spending time with his three grandchildren.
He is also a creative designer and a darn good carpenter and he always says “IF YOU CAN THINK OF IT, WE CAN DO IT”.
Joe Gabbert
Production Manager
Joe grew up in the company. He started as clean-up labor and chief hole digger. Joe went to school to play hockey at Weber State in Ogden, Utah and majored in Construction Management. He brings those skills to C.T. Gabbert Remodeling and Construction while managing our remodeling projects. Joe received the National Technician of the Year from DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen (out of 88 franchises). Joe serves as an Ambassador for the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce.
Raymond “Ray” Gabbert
Quality Control & Official Greeter
Ray is our certified quality control specialist around the office. He also loves greeting our customers when they come in. Ray is a sweetheart, but if our customers are not comfortable, he will politely return to his room. However, he is always open to a pat on the head and a treat!
